This page will show you how to setup and use the Windows XP web publishing wizard with the kids101-art website.
To upload files you need to be registered with kids101-art .
To join use the application form.
Installing
Before you can use this option for uploading images to kids101-art, your PC needs to know where to send the pictures. This is done by a file called a Register Entry that you will get from us. It's very simple to do. All you need to do is copy it your PC. You can store the Register Entry in any folder on your PC, but please don't delete it. You don't have to do anything else with it again once you have followed the instructions below but keep it on your PC. Please keep it safe - it holds the address to the kids101-art gallery location for your images.
Please follow these instructions to get your Register Entry.
1. Right click on this link.
2. Select "save target as..".
3. Save the file on your hard drive to somewhere you can easily find it. Check the is called "cpg_XXX.reg" where XXX is number that relates to the current date and time.
4. When downloaded, double click on the file in order to register your server with the web publishing wizard.
5. The file will add some basic settings to your XP Registry, you will need to confirm to allow the file to do this by clicking "OK".
Using XP Publisher
1. In Windows Explorer, select some image files and click on "Publish The Selected Items To The Web" on the web in the left pane.
If you do not have a left pane in your Explorer window then in the menu select Tools - > Folder Options.
In the Tasks section select "Show common tasks in folders".
2. Confirm your file selection. Click on Next.
3. In the list of services that appear, select "kids101 Art Gallery For Schools".
4. Carefully enter the email address and password you use to access kids101-art - as emailed to you in your welcome email.
6. Select the target album for your pictures or create a new one.
7. Click on next. You are now asked if you want to re size the images before uploading.
kids101-art recommends that you do NOT select "Yes".
Clicking next will upload your images to the gallery.
8. Clicking next will upload your images to the gallery.
9. Once your images have been approved by the kids101-art team your new uploaded images and albums will be visible in the gallery.
