Sam Houseman, Learning Co-ordinator for Art at Montagu School in Kettering. says ...

"I discovered your site whilst browsing the TES website one afternoon and since then have used it endlessly, all my GCSE students and A-level kids find the resource imagery excellent.
How about an anatomical 'people' section- obviously within the laws of decency! Where students who wouldn't have access to a life model could see proportion, how limbs bend, figures in different poses?
Love the site and will continue adding imagery when I get the chance!"
Anatomical 'people' section
In response to this feedback the Kids101-art team searched for and located some "anatomical" images to add to the resource section of the gallery on the same day as receiving Sam Houseman`s feedback.

John Thurlow, ICT Manager at New Monument School in Woking says ...

"This web resource is brilliant for a number of reasons. First, ease of use - as someone who has created and maintained school websites for a number of years I would say uploading images is one of my biggest headaches. Issues with formatting, size limitations, where will they end up on the page etc! kids101 does away with all these issues, it's easy to use and very fast. Then, of course, the 'window on the world' aspect it immediately realises - my children just love seeing their work on a 'real' website and knowing that everyone around the world (or at home) can see it too.
It also motivates the children to finish their work and do their best. If I tell them that if they produce a decent, finished article I will upload it to kids101 that evening and show it to them the next day, it certainly focuses their efforts!

I've thought of a couple of ways we can get more use out of the site. We are just about to set up a flat-screen display in our foyer to run PowerPoint shows about what goes on in our school. I think I will add a link to slide shows of our school's pictures on kids101 and have them running from time to time.
Also, we are heavily involved with international links at this school; kids101 provides a fantastic way to get the children's work on the web and, by simply sending a link, suggesting the partner school the other side of the world takes a look.
Keep up the good work!"

Nigel Fleet -Head of Art Newstead Wood School says:
"I have only been uploading work to Kids 101-art for a short time but it is very quick and extremely straightforward. You also have a choice how to upload which suits PCs and Macs. All you need is a digital camera, some artwork and a computer with an Internet connection and you are away!
Once uploaded the navigation on the sight is very easy for pupils(or anyone else) who wish to view their work. You can search by area or name.
There is also a slideshow option when viewing the work. I found this very useful for our recent open day. This stimulated discussion from potential parents to the school who were impressed to see our work on the web and that we were up with ICT developments."

Art and Design Coordinator at Alderwasley Hall School and Callow Park College comments:
"kids101 has given my pupils a wonderful way to advertise how brilliant they are.
If they have used all the walls in the school to exhibit their art work, where else is there to go? Yes that's right into cyberspace, reaching the far flung corners of the globe as well as mums and dads who get to see the products of their art lessons with the opportunity to send ecards to more distant relatives."

Clare Channon, Director of Art at St. Augustine's Catholic High School in Redditch, Worcestershire says that:
"kids101-art.co.uk has helped to promote art within the school and county community. The website has inspired students, aided their own practical work and helped them to understand how their art career progresses within school. This in turn has strengthened transition between first, middle and secondary schools developing greater support for art teachers. As Head of Art in a high school I am always looking for new ways to integrate ICT into the art curriculum. Since discovering and actively incorporating the use of the kids101-art.com website into learning and teaching, students and I have exhibited work for all to see. This includes the friends of students within school, teachers and parents locally and nationally.
The website provides excellent support on how to upload images quickly and efficiently. The students and I are in control of what images and information we exhibit on the site. This function is unique to kids101-art.com. My initial concern was how much is the use of this website going to cost the Art department? The fee has been covered through sponsorship by a local company with a genuine wish to help raise the profile of the Art department."
