Competitions Overview
For the month of February, kids101-art is hosting an art competition honouring the latest animals issue of stamps by the Royal Mail. Sea Life is a selection of magnificent creatures from around the British coastline on ten First Class stamps. With images ranging from the common starfish to a beadlet anemone, these stamps make the perfect inspiration for our latest Art Competition.
The ten stamps include the Moon Jellyfish, the Common Starfish, a Beadlet Anemone, a Bass, a Thornback Ray, the Lesser Octopus, Common Mussels, a Grey Seal, the Shore Crab, and the Common Sun Star. The fantastic images can be seen at:

Post office stamp details
To enter the competition, you simply need to create a Sea Life Stamp and upload an image of the stamp to the competition gallery. It's
EASY, it's
FUN and it's absolutely
FREE.
WHAT CAN YOU WIN?
We have
FOUR Art Pads to be won - one for each age group in the competition. Art Pads are great for creating art as pupils use a special cordless pen instead of a mouse to make their own drawings on a computer. The pen allows youngsters to draw, trace and write more naturally. It can even be used to improve pupils' handwriting!
Royal Mail wants to encourage the artistic creativity of children and the Art Pad does this in a fun and exciting way. Art Pad is hi-tech, but is easy for school pupils to use and also develops traditional drawing skills. An Art Pad can also be used to control other applications as it can be used just like a mouse, making it a versatile and user friendly input device.
WHO CAN ENTER?
All school children are eligible to enter. There are 4 age groups for the competition:
- Key Stage 1 for children aged 5 - 7
- Key Stage 2 for children aged 8 - 11
- Key Stage 3 for children aged 11 - 14
- Key Stage 4 for children older than 14
One winner in each age group will win an Art Pad.
